On October 11, 2014 my life was changed for the better. I have had Margaret Singletary's wedding on my calendar for a while, ever since her sweet mom, Julia called me several months ago. Little did I know, spending the day with this family and Margaret's amazing set of bridesmaids would soon become one of my favorite weddings to date. First of all, let me start by saying the town of Thomasville and the Singletary family made me proud to be from the SOUTH. I inhaled every "y'all" and "yes mam" I heard during the day and I truly felt back at my roots as I walked through downtown Thomasville that afternoon. This was my first trip to Thomasville, and I can't wait to go back. I may or may not have sat alone at a table set for 6 and had 3 plates of the all-you-can-eat buffet at the farmer's market. (Day MADE!)
Margaret's bridesmaids were the sweetest, most down to earth young women. I thoroughly enjoyed hearing about each of their lives and learning about their special friendship with Margaret. A dental student, a nurse, a saleslady, a beauty queen and even a NewYorker... I enjoyed talking to these beautiful gals just as much as I enjoyed doing their hair. I couldn't help but think of my own group of best friends and how fun it will be for us to get ready on the day of my wedding. You could feel the love among these girls, and their happiness for their best friend was indescribably heart warming for me. The giggles never stopped and their constant jokes with each other kept me laughing the entire day! When it came time for the final touches of Margaret's hair the room got quiet for a second before they told her how absolutely stunning she looked. This was such a special moment, and I still feel so blessed to have been a part of Margaret's big day.
Professional pictures by Abby Caroline Photography. She was the sweetest thing! I loved talking with her while the bridesmaids were getting ready. She captured the sweetest part of Margaret's day and paid special attention to detail. I've learned to love my hair hobby for so many different reasons. I get to meet the most interesting and talented people all while making people look and feel beautiful! It doesn't get much better than that.
For the reception, Margaret wanted a more fun and relaxed look so we pull it over to one side and let it naturally drape down. We simply moved over her pretty, little hair piece and she was ready to jump on the dance floor!
